**Gangasagar:** In the early morning, the discovery of a human skull at a meat shop has caused a stir in the Krishnanagar market area of Gangasagar in South 24 Parganas. The incident has sparked panic among local residents, along with a growing sense of mystery. The shopkeeper has already been detained and police have begun questioning him.
According to local sources, Shatrughan Das, a resident of Krishnanagar market, was passing by the meat shop of Ayub Ali Sheikh in the area. Allegedly, at that time, the shopkeeper handed him a bag. Initially, he thought it might contain meat for a nearby house.
However, upon opening the bag, he was shocked! Instead of meat, he found a human skull inside the bag. As news of the incident spread, local residents quickly began to gather at the scene.
During questioning, shopkeeper Ayub Ali claimed that his minor son found the skull while fishing by the canal. This has raised multiple questions about how it ended up in the shop and why it was placed in the bag.
Upon receiving the news, police from Sagar police station arrived at the scene. The skull has been recovered and sent to Kakdwip morgue for autopsy. The police are investigating where the skull came from, how old it is, and whether it is connected to any crime.
