What did Sohini eat during her baby shower? She got scolded for saying 'the greens are good'
**Kolkata:** Shovon Gangopadhyay and Sohini Sarkar are waiting for their transition from 2 to 3. The star couple is counting down the days until the arrival of their new guest. In the meantime, a grand baby shower was organized at Sohini's in-laws' house. The actress was beautifully adorned by her mother-in-law, who also served her favorite dishes. Shovon's mother and aunt were present at the event, along with Sohini's mother.
At the baby shower, Sohini's plate was filled with her favorite dishes. The menu included her most favorite **Hilsa fish**. There was fried Hilsa, Hilsa head with puishak dal, rice, red spinach fry, five types of fried items, moong dal, shukto, fried katla fish, fish head, tophse fry, mango chutney, payesh, yogurt, and sweets. In other words, the menu was a celebration of Bengali traditional cuisine for the expectant mother.
During the event, Shovon Gangopadhyay personally fed his wife payesh. He has mentioned that he is taking care of his wife during this special time while also considering her likes and dislikes. According to Sohini, even during shooting, Shovon would prepare her favorite breakfast and pack her tiffin.
However, a funny incident occurred during the baby shower while eating. While eating rice with red spinach, Sohini exclaimed, **‘The greens are really good.’** And for that, she got scolded by the elders of the house. According to family tradition, one should not say that any food is good during the baby shower. Thus, her mother and aunts scolded her. Immediately, the expectant mother Sohini realized her mistake and bit her tongue.
Currently, the actress is enjoying her motherhood and is taking some rest. However, she will soon be seen working. The films **‘Bahurupi’** and **‘The Golden Daku’** are set to release during the Puja. It has been reported that Sohini shot for ‘Bahurupi’ while being four months pregnant. At the same time, she also shot for the ‘Ajeya’ series.
On July 15, 2024, Shovon and Sohini legally married at a farmhouse in Kolkata. The wedding ceremony was held in a small way in the presence of close family members. Now, a new chapter is about to begin in their lives.
